Dog Beach Area Rules

Persons who choose to use the Dog Beach Area as a condition of use agree to the following rules.

  1. Anne Arundel County is not responsible for injuries to dogs, their owners/handlers, or others that use the Dog Beach Area.

  2. Dogs must be on leash and under control by their owners/handlers at all times outside of the fenced Dog Beach Area.

  3. All dogs must be healthy, vaccinated, and collared - with identification.

  4. Dogs must stay in the beach area, and waters immediately in front of the beach, at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the woods behind the beach.

  5. Owners/handlers must remain inside the area, with leash, and in view of their dogs at all times.

  6. Owners/handlers must immediately clean up after their dog(s) and properly dispose of waste.

  7. Limit of two dogs per adult.

  8. Dog owners/handlers must respect the rights of others to use this area by maintaining control of their pets at all times.

  9. Dogs in heat and puppies under 4 months of age are prohibited.

  10. Toddlers and infants are prohibited from entering the fenced dog park area. Older children must be accompanied by an adult, who is accountable for their behavior and well being.

  11. No smoking or food within Dog Beach Area (human or dog).

  12. Excessive barking is prohibited. Dogs barking excessively must be removed.

  13. Dogs showing aggression toward people or other animals must be removed from the Dog Beach Area.

  14. Owners/handlers must stop their dogs from digging and immediately fill any holes dug.

  15. Please report any problems to the park by calling 410.222.1777.
